Ohio is not one housing stock. Housing in Cuyahoga County mostly dates from the 1950s, while over in Delaware County the median home went up in the 1990s.

That is why the pages here go down to the town. An old foundation and a sealed slab are different inspections, and the difference starts at the county line.

Licensing for pesticide application is issued by the state, so the license that matters is a Ohio one. Ask which name it is held under before any work starts — a trading name and the licensed entity are frequently not the same.

License: Held by the contractor and issued in Ohio. Ask which name it is held under — a trading name and the licensed entity are often not the same.
Price: What the pest is, what the treatment involves, how many visits it takes and what it costs — explained before any work begins.
The call: Describing what you found commits you to nothing. Nothing is booked until you say so.
Coverage: By town, not by region. Ohio and the towns around it.

A technician kneels beside a house foundation and shines a flashlight into a crawl space vent.

What happens after the call

You say what you have seen and where in the home it turned up. That is usually enough to narrow it down on the phone.

A technician then inspects the property — inside, around the outside, and in the crawl space or attic where the sign usually starts. Identification comes before treatment, and the treatment is quoted before it begins.
